Yeah this just proves to me that its as messy as I thought and will be messy enough for it to be just about a 100% sure bet she won't ever be on the air at Foxnews again.

A lot of these rumors could be true but even if so Fox is the only ones getting killed for it. I see a lot of the same stuff or setup at other channels so I wonder if they have some ole lech if its the case that this stuff is true telling them to dress in short skirts, sexy heels and sitting on couches with the cameras closeup and zooming in on them also?

I don't know one way or the other but whatever caused Fox to be like Fox to this point they're not the only ones doing it. Thats my only point.

They are the only ones doing it. Some of the females have even bragged on air about the legs chair on the Five, Tantaros herself mentioned it. The way they dress and everything else on Fox is very much calculated.

No doubt about that part that its all calculated but you'll never get me to agree they're the only ones doing it. Its no coincidence on all these channels now including weather channels all the women with the anchor jobs, host jobs or best hours even for the weather channel shows all of a sudden all became model like and gorgeous.

Yes sex sells but also people just enjoy looking at pretty people. You better be a awesome a reporter to get hired now if you don't look great and even then...i'm not sure it will happen. Hell even my local affiliates now most of the stations have model looking women working for them...anchors, weather ladies...its not by mistake.

Its just how it is...and it damn sure isnt just fox. Look at Fox Sports 1, Espn, NFL Network, MLB Network and of all things the two weather channels. I rest my case.

Fox News Is Falling Apart Before Our Eyes As Bill O’Reilly Accused Of Sexual Harassment

Andrea Tantaros' lawsuit against Fox News and Roger Ailes is exposing a network-wide culture of sexual harassment that included the most watched host on all of cable news, Bill O'Reilly.

http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/23/ ... sment.html

Politicususa is a terrible source for anything factual. The main writer is a hack who offers his opinions with all the skill of an 8th grader. I'm a liberal and even I can't stand that site.

Andrea files a sexual harassment suit against Fox:

I read all 37 pages of the lawsuit. What I took away from it is

- There is no doubt that there is a culture of verbal sexual harrassment at Fox that comes from the top (Ailes) and is tolerated all the way down.
- There is no doubt that there was retaliation against Tantaros for continuing to complain about sexual harrassment.
- It's hard to believe someone would have made up so many specific instances of harrassment that include such specific details of what Ailes and others said, particularly since some of things that were said were pretty weird, like asking about the sexual orientation of specific people.
- The reason given by Fox for action taken again Tantaros, her alleged violation of the book publishing part of her contract, doesn't add up. They could have terminated her and fired her without pay over that, but they didn't. Why?
- Tantaros' lawyer puts together a long list of actions that allegedly show that Fox is "out to get her." Some of them are going to be quite easy to prove, but others are going to be hard to connect to specific individuals and therefore hard to prove.
- This is only the beginning of these lawsuits. Fox is about to be Cosby-ed.

Edit: The court filing for the lawsuit is here https://www.scribd.com/embeds/321971941 ... fnsstEeWoF

Thanks for the link.

Interesting that Scott Brown and John Roberts are also named as offenders (not plaintiffs but individuals who harassed Tantaros).

If there is a paper trail of Tantaros' complaints and nothing to show that anyone acted on them then Fox is in deep trouble. As you mentioned some of it will boil down to he said-she said and difficult to prove. Her lawyer must be very confident about this because Fox was allegedly looking to settle for 7 figures and they are now gambling that they can get a lot more through a trial.

Sorry but someone has to ask it. How many ladies of FOX accepted the harassment and permitted it to continue? Just something to think about I do not expect answers or speculation to this question.

Without answering your question, I find it interesting one of Ailes' fiercest defenders was Kimberly Guilfoyle
According to Andrea, Ailes referred to KimmyG as a "Puerto Rican w h o r e."

I don't see your point. Is it supposed to make it OK, give a pass to the guys that did it and to Fox, or maybe imply that it wasn't so bad? Talk to someone who put up with it to keep her job. I have and it's an awful thing to go through.

The news business for on-air reporters, anchors, and other personalities is fiercely competitive. Maybe some of them decided that the possibility of being fired or demoted for complaining wasn't worth the loss of a steady income and being blackballed in the industry.

No where in my post do I say I condone what happened. My Bad choice of smilies. My point is that there are individuals(male and female) that put up with this just to keep their jobs and to advance their careers. I worked as a Director of HR for a large cellular company I have heard all the lies and the truths. In this day and age unfortunately things like this are still very real.

it sad to see company go out way make someone else look bad. also sad they will do what ever it takes to make her look like bad guy. why not just keep mouth shut and wait to see what happens when all is cleared. by doing this makes you still look like bad guy and fact you still do not believe she right and he right. when stuff like this goes down not good post say or video stuff. since could be use against you for slander.

FOX had a link up on their page yesterday where they replied to her accusations in the suit, if I can find it again, it wasn't on the lead page, I will post it. They seem to have their arguments down pretty well. ;)

It will be very interesting to see how Andrea & Gretchen's cases will resolve. It's not hard at all to imagine, what has been said in the allegations by these two ladies, to be in fact true. With a much higher ratio of women in the workforce today, relative to men, then say 40 years ago, these "things" will happen. And no it's not right, and should not be tolerated. As a society we still have a long way to go to properly handle all forms of harassment, including sexual innuendos, in the workplace.

I couldn't find it as well, but here's a pretty decent summary -

http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-media/ ... abe-227515

I don't remember Fox voicing any pushback when it came to Gretchen Carlson like they are with Tantaros. Then again, Carlson's lawyer hasn't been talking to the press and likening Fox to a "Playboy mansion sex cult" or whatever Tantaros' lawyer said.

There was report that Gretchen Carlson also gave Ailes a shut out in her book. Plus her show was not doing well in rating. Just putting it out there.

If you mean "shout out", that and the show ratings have been brought up way back when this all started,
and don't appear to have much to do with anything.

Fox themselves investigated Ailes before cutting him loose, just to see if there was any fire beyond all
the smoke --and they must have found evidence of it, or he'd still be sitting in his plush office right now.

For those who are interested in the back story to how all of this (especially with Gretchen Carlson) went down, there's a lengthy article written by Gabriel Sherman for New York Magazine -

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... ailes.html

One really interesting nugget - Carlson had a clause in her contract that stated that any work-related conflicts with Fox had to be settled through arbitration. To avoid that loophole, instead of filing suit against Fox Carlson and her attorney filed against Roger Ailes personally.
