Megyn's audience at Fox was narrow in the sense that it was one that leaned right so she served up the red meat (she did so a lot more when she had her daytime show). She will have to pivot now that she is on a network that has a much more diverse, broader audience to cater to in regards to content. I think she can pull it off but that remains to be seen. She wouldn't be the first to be considered a big hire only to flop.

the odds are heavily against anyone succeeding in launching a new show.

that's why my money is on this failing, then her taking over something established like Nightly or Today or even Meet the Press or Dateline.

Megyn's move to NBC is without precedent.

Popular names from Jane Pauley to recently with Meredith Vieira and Katie Couric all had their talk shows last no more than two years.

It will be very interesting to see what Comcast and NBC decide to do in utilizing Megan's interviewing skills.
Again, no official word was mentioned when her new shows will start--but it more than likely will happen sometime during the summer.

Besides, the Sunday night magazine show would only be on from January to early August because of "Football Night in America", our country's top rated program for over six years.

I like Megyn and understand why she'a doing what she's doing and looking forward to seeing what she does, but i doubt this daytime show is going anywhere.

My two pennies:

KG is my front runner here: she has had experience hitting a show on her own (Judge jeannie's spot several years ago) and has been around the block: appearing on Geraldo's show, The Five, Red Eye, some appearances on FBN. Martha and Sandra are maybes. Shannon: would she move from DC to NY or would they let her host from DC? Trish is a dish, but she'a also the most junior in tenure at FNC/FBN of the candidates.

Didn't Laura have a show at one point and it didn't last. I think KG might be the best pick.

I like people with success stories like Megyn and she has earned her success. Daytime will be tough but if anyone can pull it off it would be her.

I would love to see Nauert at 2pm. But she seems to have something firm in her contract allowing her to be with her kids. I don't even get her small role on F&F doing news breaks unless she is also working behind the scenes. Tucker at 9pm
I'd give Laura Ingraham a shot. She's kinda grown on me.

These moves make sense, but I wonder what Ailes would have done.

In my opinion the next star waiting in the wings on Fox is Trish Regan.
