Back off the red eye flight from L.A. after briefly discussing Mr. T being booted from Monday night's show.

At least, she made it back to New York faster than David Ross when he takes part in the Chicago Cubs ring ceremony on Wednesday night at Wrigley Field (at least, his performance on Monday was carried live on the video board to the fans during the rain delay--all of that happened prior to the banners being raised alongside the iconic scoreboard).

One of the perks of working at GMA is getting invited to some very cool events.

Ginger was the special guest on Thursday morning at the University Club Scholarship Foundation Award Ceremony in Grand Rapids, which was the same place that Ginger did bartending and waiting tables for weddings starting at age 15. She would later on help spend some summers there during her time studying at Valparaiso University in northwest Indiana.

The event honors three high school seniors who hopefully will fulfill a promise to either stay close to home for college, or be like what Ginger did in her youth and return home to help out during the summer months.

M-Live had a very nice article and lots of cool pics (plus there are a pair of short video clips on the MLive YouTube page) of Ginger speaking at the event (plus some pics from her childhood years):
