Just caught the end of her announcement on the show. Today is her last day. She didn't give any specific reasons but talked about the book she's writing and hinted at other projects.

Aside from the speculation from the article, Jed is also engaged to be married (no idea when).

As for Meghan joining The View, I thought she was caring for her father (Senator John McCain) while he's recovering from cancer treatment/surgery.

Good for her- judging by clips I've seen I don't know how the show is still getting viewers. Seems to be just another echo-chamber of idiots trying to out-dipsh*t one another and a very toxic place for anyone who, like Jedediah, dares to think with logic and reason. It must have been maddening to sit at the table looking for an ally while the other cohosts spew constant and easily refutable bs. Hopefully the paycheck was good, bc she prob didn't gain any useful career exposure.

I hope she lands on her feet, but I don't know where she can go for her next TV gig. The only network that allows people who share her opinions any airtime is Fox News, but she might feel too much pride to go back so soon after leaving. Maybe after taking a year off for the book and marriage she'd consider it.

The Mooch is just a guest co-host. The Adweek article said they're doing a search to find someone to permanently fill the spot left vacant by Jedediah.

I'm just an infrequent contributor and I wouldn't want to trigger someone who's evidently quite an enthusiastic poster... but she's sexy too. Liberal or conservative, let's agree that we hope Jedediah gets another gig.

I wanted to tune into the show this morning to see what might happen. If there was any comment about Jedediah leaving. But I wasn't expecting Trump to address The United Nations right before the broadcast. Now I can tolerate opposing viewpoints, but the smug look on Whoopi's face as she started talking about Trump's speech totally pissed me off. You can have your own opinion, just don't act like an a$$ while bashing someone else's.

While on Fox, she slammed the hosts and the show. Good riddance, she didn't bring anything different that what all right wing talking heads bring.

Because she probably had a contract for at least the full season.
So the fact that they’re letting her leave—-or more likely, telling her to leave—-means something went bad quickly.

Yeah, it's not a stretch to think that she got the boot from someone. Who knows? Maybe Whoopi, Joy or Sunny asked for her to be let go.

Not sure about that. If Any of the other co-hosts had a problem with Jedidiah, she wouldn't have been asked to come back for this season.
