If you guys have been wondering why I haven't posted clips in a while, you can thank Bill Gates! What has happened to me is that I could no longer save clips to the HD in a timely time frame. WMM told me it would take over 2 million minutes to save using a method called HighMAT (No relation to our "friendly" Yoda). That pissed me off!

I did some research...

HighMAT was created by Microsoft to burn better video to CDs. Thanks Bill for letting me know about this! :?

link for more info...

http://www.highmat.com/default.asp

What I wound up doing was downloading the "HighMAT™ Extension for Windows® XP CD-Writing Wizard (Update)" from the download area. Once installed, it worked as intended to burn my WMM project to a CD-RW. It won't save to the HD. :?

I think this option got snuck onto my computer via an Automatic Windows Update. :?

Now that I got this friggin' figured out, I'll start posting clips from the last three weeks of "Dancing with the Stars" and all of "Skating with the Celebs". :D :Thumb

This will take several days to go through. :?

For those who use WMM, pay attention! If you see this logo...

BTW... 2 million minutes is nearly 4 years! :P

Go to your Add & Remove in your control panel (click on START) and remove it.

Then go to Windows Update and run Custom (I think thats where it will pop up at), after it runs you can click on the small box so that it will not add it anymore to the updates or you can go back and install it at a time when or if you would like to use it.

I went back and looked, it will be a small box with an x in it with the updates it finds. Click on that box and it opens up, then check the box that saids something like, do not show this anymore

You might want to turn off the automatic update while you do this, to keep it from putting it back on

Good Luck

Thanks slowpoke for the advice! Since I loaded the program, I am going to stick with it for the time being but also look at other programs so I don't have to depend on Bill Gates. :Joker
