She rather be a HS teacher than an anchor/reporter? I know the news business is brutal but damn.
I know! Maybe the 3am shift is getting to her. Maybe she wanted to be more than just a traffic/feature reporter. Six years at a station you'd think that she'd move on to something larger. If you're not locked into an anchor role, after 2 or 3 years most reporters usually move onto other markets. In this area, several news personalities have moved into other fields like real estate, or communications. And several seasoned anchors have taught journalism classes. But for a young lady to completely switch gears and go into teaching is a new one for me. Maybe she was an English minor in college and decided to get a certification as a teacher. All in all, her beauty will certainly be missed.
I know one personality left or forced out and she teaches at the local community college. Another after she had her kid left shortly after she came back to work her family restaurant. Another who became a spokeswoman of local police department. Of course there's ones who decide to become stay at home moms (in any market). One hand, you don't want them to leave other hand you want nothing but the best for them on camera and/or off it.
