Honestly I'm surprised she returning to the sidelines and hosting SEC Nation with her appearances on Sportscenter and Get Up. Why not replace Beadle with her or replace Sage Steele with Elle (when she returns) and have Laura take over for Elle? I think she'll be off the sidelines by 2020 and be an anchor/host by then.

Espn is surviving. Lots of changes since April 07 and the mass layoffs. Laura started appearing on SC in the spring. She is still doing SEC Network stuff which is her main thing. But her SC time dwindled as SC was cut. So now is in the Get Up rotation with various women who fill in the spot Beadle had. Lisa Kerney who anchored with Laura for those three months on SC then was not renewed. If she has returned to SC and I have not been following could be due to additional hours being added and more people leaving.

It'll be possible for Elle to replace Sage on 6pm SportsCenter and Laura to permanent role on morning SportsCenter with Nicole Briscoe, Dianna Russini, Jay Harris, Matt Barrie, and Randy Scott. Will see how it plays out in the next few months.
