What's the deal with models?
I watch a model on QVC and think she works for the company but then I see her in other modeling jobs for other companies.
Do models work for agencies and they send her out for the gigs? Do modeling agencies have ties to shopping networks? How does all of this work?

Well I know that models work for companies that are connected to the network. For instance if a vendor comes on QVC selling hair products, you will see a QVC model in the infomercial or commercial for that product. They all scratch each other's backs. All the hosts are often really good friends with those that come on the network to sell their products or line.

And I forgot to say that I assume most of models work part-time for the networks. So they are free to do whatever they want outside of the networks. That includes acting, modeling, having their own business. ect.

That would explain why when you look at the models on an agency website that most of them work for the same shopping network
