Julie Phillips leaving WFLA Tampa

WFLA meteorologist Julie Phillips is leaving News Channel 8 in Tampa on Wednesday to become a Real Estate Agent!

At least, we will know who to contact if anyone is interested in relocating to the Tampa area (just as long as Tom Brady isn't hurling trophies across the street, let alone the river the day after the Buccaneers smothered the Chiefs in Super Bowl 55.)

Some people would like that HAHAHA. I'm going to miss seeing her on TV though I understand. The TV News biz has irregular hours. Also, she's not completing leaving the Weather Biz. In the same post, she's teaming up with another former WFLA meteorologist on Weather Start up.

Also, it sucks because she's going to be the third woman to leave. Lila Gross left to work an 8-5 and Victoria Price decided to take a break (unsure what her future plans are).

I think the only real gain has been Beth Rousseau.

Forgot about her because she still did reports even after Deanna King replaced her on traffic though I lost track.

Brianda Villegas is a nice addition. Plus I believe Amanda Holly will take over for Julie unless WFLA wants to find someone with more experience.
