From Variety, there is also some potential mergers within the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences. This lengthy article should explain what their mission will be after every network televised the September ceremony every year for four decades:

You don't have to be a subscriber to watch the ceremony.

Prime Video follows the lead from December 2025, when the Oscars announced that in 2029 they will be carrying movie's highest honor on YouTube, both the free version and the YouTube TV FAST subscription service. ABC will have the ceremony for two more years before YouTube will have the glitz and glamour for five years until 2033.

Maybe outside of the Grammys, there isn't much of an audience unlike in decades past when it was just The Big Three networks.
