I have a Replaytv DVR which won't function without monthly subscription.I can't access my recorded shows without it.So does anyone know if there's a code to atleast let you view your recorded shows without subscribing for it?
I have two other DVR(Tivo)which the quality is better that i have to pay monthly for.If it was Tivo instead of Replaytv,i would just swap harddisk to my other unit.I just much prefer not have to pay for 3rd fee just look at content i already seen.I already checked out few DVR blog sites but no luck.Maybe some of you tech savvy guys know something.

If you have dvd burner you could pay for a month then rip all the content.

Actually i already have it on DVD+R.I was gonna redue it because i didn't label them and can't seem to find anything.Worst case,i'll subscribe for a month access the content and cancel and throw the Replaytv out the window.

I think a window would make a better exit.I don't know if they still make Replaytv but stick to Tivo or whatever your cable/satellite providers provide.I don't know if it's just me but while recording it would do self maintnance and delete 5 or so most recent recordings.Yes i set it to not delete option.Plus the picture quality's very fuzzy even recording at high quality.I bought it when Tivo was hard to come by during X-mas and the sales person said it's same as Tivo.
