A tight top and tight jeans were meant to be preserved digitally!
However, there's still periodic audio dropouts, and it looks like my system and/or ripping software doesn't like DVD-R/RW discs. Naturally, I don't come to this realization until after purchasing two 100-pack -R spindles. At least they were on sale. Now to wait for another sale to get another spindle of +R discs...

That's what I've been trying to figure out, to no avail. Compatibility with assorted devices, I suppose. And it seems like the DVD ripper I'm currently using (HandBrake, FYI) has trouble ripping the audio from -R/-RW discs, even in 2-pass mode. The latest version might rectify it, but it's only 10.5 compatible, and I still haven't upgraded my laptop from 10.4 yet. Yes, I'm lazy. But I might buy Apple's MPEG-2 playback component for twenty bucks and maybe I can get better results from editing the VOBs directly from QuickTime Pro. Or I can wait for another Office Max/Depot sale and use that $20 for more +R discs. I dunno.
