Welcome back, HSF!

I spent nearly 90 minutes making over 150 caps of Robin for each of the past two days before I settled on the 20 or so caps that I posted on Wednesday and Thursday, so I'm really glad your back to cap Robin again. I spent a lot of time on them but it was fun. :mrgreen:

It was indeed fun making those caps. I tried to get as many shots of Robin smiling as I could, but that was a bit of a challenge for me, even when I went frame by frame of each second. :mrgreen:

I know that HSF is always da man with the Robin caps, but comparing with Chris' caps this past week, I noticed his were a bit more crisp. I wonder why that's the case. Was it the PNG format or the larger file size? Just curious. I think it would be great to see her in the highest quality possible. I'm sure the masters can enlighten us

My capper only has a natural resolution of 320x240, which I blow up to 640x480. Depending on the signal and the lighting on the set, some days are good, some not so much. I've been thinking about getting a new capping device, but I'm always the procrastinator, so I still haven't gotten around to it.

FYI, my videos are taken from a DVD recorder, which obviously records from full resolution. Although I would get better caps if I recorded Robin and then extracted caps from disc, it would be much more time consuming for me, especially since I go to bed right after I upload and post my caps. :snoopy

I have made caps of Robin from a DVD and compared to yours,there's no difference.

Your caps and the ones Chris made of Robin are appreciated. :Kool

I don't think the difference in quality between our caps had anything to do with the PNG or JPEG formats at all. I had made exact copies of my caps in both formats and there was no noticeable difference. Like HSF mentioned, the difference in the quality of our caps had to do with the native resolution that our videos came from as mine records at 640x480 by default on a Hauppauge USB tv tuner.

Even though the quality of our caps differ, I still think HSF is the best at capping Robin and his caps are perfectly fine. But I will be back whenever HSF isn't able to cap her! :mrgreen:
