Yes I am a n00b at this and I apologize in advance but...

Here's the situation.

I have some recordings on my cable company's DVR/cable input box. In theory, If I have a DVD recorder, I SHOULD be able to play those recorded images for recording on my DVD recorder, then use the DVD+/-RW disc to pull the images off for screen capping.

Am I right so far? Thanks in advance...

PS: I have VERY leggy images of Amy Stran and Gabrielle Kerr from this month, if anyone needs incentive. Help a brother out...

Just one question. You said "recorded images". What do you mean by that? Are you talking about recorded video? How can you have recorded images on your DVR?

I'll go out on a limb here and presume that you meant video. I have a DirecTV DVR and a DVD recorder. What I had to do was take the feed from the DVR and input it into an "L1" input on the DVD recorder. Then I can record what is on the DVR onto a DVD. I hope this helps. :Kool

As long as you have a DVD drive on your computer you should be able to make caps from any DVD. You can use free software like VLC player. When recording just keep in mind, you won't be able to record HD resolution.

I would recommend using component inputs to the DVD recorder if possible. If not s-video is good connection, then the composite yellow, and lastly RF using coax cable.
