Margaret has needed a new director for a long, long time now. She's one of the hottest anchors and we never get to see her sexy legs. There have been a few ocassions where we do see them but we want to see them every day like we do with Caroline Hyde, Francine Lacqua and Andrea Catherwood.

We used to see lots of Margaret's (among others) hot legs and thighs, as well as her gorgeous, expressive face, from the time she joined Bloomberg in July 2009 until, oh, the first week of February of this year. That's when all the New York studio camera ops clearly got the "no-more-leg-shots-or-full-body-shots" memo from above.

She hasn't changed the way she moves one bit... getting comfy sitting on top of a desk every day in the best Bloomberg tradition... unhurried leg crosses from time to time in those on-stage chairs... and so on. The other hot anchors and reporters there haven't changed their body language either.

And why should they? Under the new shot-from-the-waist-up decree, they could practically lose their skirts and pants altogether while working their shift, and none of us, the viewers, would be the wiser. (Come on, stop thinking about that.) It's the diabolically perverse filming and camera work that we can thank for the newly politically correct, 99%+ talking heads / torsos channel we all now enjoy so much.

Yea HD is a double edged sword. On one hand we see them in better quality, on the other we see less of their goodies because of the screen ratio.

Kinda wish they'd pan back to how it was before or just have the online feed go back to the old screen ratio.

Gosh, I go away from this thread for two days and a whole lot of commotion happens. I posted my earlier posts blindly. I saw that a lot had been posted since my last post and I want to get my posts out of the way first. After my last post on Sunday, I had some computer problems too. Wow, good topics too. First the caps and videos. Superb caps and videos of Poppy, Caroline, Maryam, Kubra, Margaret, Gigi, Michele, Andrea, Olivia, Susan and Linzie. Excellent work all around.

It was good to see Linzie do the Last Word but can we imagine a show with Margaret and Scarlet doing such a set up. The studio would have to be changed but can we at least go back to the walking-back-segments. Back into the office area. Then we could see Margaret sitting on the desk. That would be good. At least Scarlet does that a little from the touchscreen. I certainly agree with you on that. It's been bad of late. Well, I think the SE thing was good too for promotion reasons but they also had Betty and Deirdre there as well. Also CNBC was there of late too. I can't believe that. Eisen's legs are a rare thing to see. Anyway, I have liked the little segments at the beginning of the 2nd hour of InBusiness with Scarlet and Margaret. But I swore there was a good one last week and then Scarlet disappeared for the rest of the hour! I did get someone on Monday where they did a long tracking shot where they walked on the floor a good distance. It might have been Betty. Didn't see much legs though.



Yes, Caroline has her beaten on most things but Francine is consistent in her leg show and her legs are excellent.



Yes, we need the ones in NY to follow her lead. London is doing much better.

Yes, I agree. I don't like it on some of the stations that I have. Letterboxing and making my screen actually smaller. They shouldn't do it if you don't have a HD reception or whatever it's called. Yeah, it's interesting, I remember being really hopeful about the similarity between the online feed and the tv feed but it's been worse of late. I also was hopeful with the ticker becoming less of a problem but that really didn't pan out too well anyway.

Great cap of Margaret. Good job. You're absolutely correct. Love the face too. Burn that memo! The change was bad and at first we thought it was just for a short time but you're right. It's been much too long now. Yes, you're right. We do get to see how she hasn't changed on the quick pullaways into commercials. She hasn't changed much at all except I've noticed outfits that didn't used to have jackets with them now do. At first, I thought it was because of winter and then spring but it's been hot around here and still jackets.I used to look for a leg cross when she talked to Al Hunt too. When she first turned towards him. Now she doesn't even do that anymore. Ha ha ha. You're right. Look at Street Smart for example. We used to have good segments with Cali and when she or someone else appears with Carol and Matt we only get the over-the-shoulder thing which I hate too. Yes, it stinks and I think they should bring in the camera crews from Istanbul and London to show them how it's done. Look at the new Countdown. Back and forth and long shots as well. We get Caroline and Linzie in the background or Francine and Linda. Whatever. Sure a tandem but Margaret and Scarlet could do that too. A shot of Margaret upfront and then Scarlet in the background at the desk(and not those stupid tables where they stand up) talking to Sheila or Julie. Gosh, I missed those segments where they used to have both Margaret and one of the others sitting at the desk in chairs. Sigh. Those were the days...If not these things, then look at Asia Edge. Some good stuff there too with Susan. Those chair segments have been great.



Something like that would be great and entirely possible.

Forget "Big Brother". Now we have "Big Poppy". I'd listen to her.
