You are really going to open up a can of worms here but lets go with either Philly or Detroit from the posts on here.

Legitimate question though...how about, which city has the best newsbabes, and which ones are they?

Los Angeles = Evelyn Taft doing weather

Boston = ? I think as a whole, Boston has the most babe-age but not necessarily the single hottest babe

Philly = very strong farm system, lots of hot babes

Detroit = maybe not the hottest but they know how to sell themselves

New York City = ? A bit overrated overall.

Chicago = strong, but need more in #'s compared to Boston, Philly, L.A.

The best news show in Detroit was the Sunday morning Fox2 Morning show, which spends the last half-hour on an F&F style couch
Unril recently the weekend show featured Deena Centofanti and Jessica Starr
A couple of months ago, they gave Kam Carman the Sunday show and cut Jessica's couch time in half
Deena and Jessica are still together on Saturdays. but they're usually chained to the desk
When I was in New York this summer, Jodi Applegate's show was the best
Just in Chicago over the weekend, and saw Megan Glaros and Kate Sullivan
Kate looked better on air than in any caps I saw of her
Now that Courtney Friel is pulling double duty for Fox and its L.A. station, she'd be tough to beat

I, for one, think LA is a bit overrated. But I will tip my hat to Boston and Chicago. Chicago has a great farm system. Women are getting poached from there to go other places. Kate Sullivan is a good one. Thanks for the reminder, Sparty. After Philly, I'll go with Boston though. Now that they have Sarah French they are even hotter. But my heart still likes Melissa Mack the most. I don't know who is the hottest in Philly. It's really a tough call.

I think L.A. actually has some of the hottest babes but it's almost like they are afraid to unleash the talent. Why? When you have shows like Fox's Good Day LA and KTLA's morning show, you have so much potential and yet it's often wasted.

Boston seems to know how to show off its babes. Philly's got talent, so does Chicago, but it's a toss up.

New york city is really the one of all places that is overrated for where it is, what it is, wwho it is

When I had DirecTV, I received the big 4 stations from LA. Fox would waste Dorthy and Jillian by showing Steve Edwards the majority of the show and showing Dorthy and Jillian behind a desk.

LA has a larger number of babes at each network, whereas the other cities have a few here and there.

The East Coasters definitely have better formats to show them off.

LA has the best babes though.

I gotta go with Philadelphia. The ladies at each station in order of my opinion

Fox 29 used to have gorgeous ladies everywhere, now they are few and far between:
Kerry Barrett and Karen Hepp

CBS 3 is next with some great ladies, but few of them:
Kate Bilo, Katie Fehlinger, Susan Barnett, Nicole Brewer, and Anne-Marie Green

6 ABC was the leader, but I think their lead has slipped away:
Cecily Tynan, Alicia Vitarelli, Ali Gorman, Karen Rogers, Shirleen Allicot, Katherine Scott, and Sarah Bloomquist

NBC 10 has really upped their game with this group:
Jillian Mele, Sheena Parveen, Michelle Grossman, Dawn Timmeney, Marisa Brahney, Stacy Stauffer, Deanna Durrante, Christein Maddela, Aditi Roy, Tracy Davidson, Erin Como, and Lori Wilson

Some honorable mentions for some of the lesser known ladies
Kristen Celins from Tango Traffic, Eve Tannery, Zenddy Caicedo Tintle, Perla López Baray and Kimberly Davidow from 69 WFMZ in Allentown

I agree with you there. I'm not saying that LA doesn't have any nice babes. Just some are overrated. I do like that Evelyn Taft, Andy Adler, Lucy Noland, and Ann Sterling. A most pleasing bunch there.

who do you think is overrated?

Dorothy Lucey, Jackie Johnson, Lauren Sivan, Jillian Reynolds, Olga Ospina and I suppose Mia Lee but it looks like she's not on anymore. I like that Louisa Hodge though. She's good and Sandra Mitchell.

Well, we were talking overall but I agree with you on the lovely Evelyn who combines cute and sexy quite well. Brandi is good too.

Karen Hepp today elevated Philly to the top of the power rankings right now...

Kansas City has good ones that pass thru or some that stay awhile but don't get exposure. I could go on hours and hours about the local newsbabes. Several good ones have come thru and left only to be replaced by new ones. Dime a dozen.

I don't live there but i'd imagine L.A. would be hard to beat.

Currently things stack up like this in Kansas City.

Fox 4 has lost various women this past two years, so they are restocking the deck. They hired a woman who is only 3 years out of college. And two young women who are getting more exposure each day got hired over the Summer. Then a woman from Texas took over weeknights. But the in house competition was so fierce that three women left after the hire. Abby Eden is the new white woman who replaced a black woman Shelli Lockhart who left at the start of the year. Lockhart had only anchored the slot a little over a year when Carmen Ainsworth, another black woman, left. So a few people in the station wanted the 6pm and 10pm news slot, but they didn't get it. So Stephanie Hockridge left to Arizona. And Meredith Hoenes left to Columbia, Missouri where she would be able to anchor. Then Meghan Cloherty announced she was bolting to D.C. to get a new degree.

Therefore, WDAF hired a young black woman named Stefan Chase to do a new 9am newscast and the noon news. Loren Halifax, who did the noon news for a few years was kept on Mornings. But then Katie Ferrell, Macradee Aegerter and Charly Arnolt were hired to do reports and replace the women who departed. Then Mary Pulley, another black woman, stayed on weekends but is solo now after Stephaine Hockridge left with Kimberly Byrnes doing weekend mornings. Then Leslie Carto was moved, after having been a general assignment reporter, in 2010 to replace Carrie Koogan on the "Try It Before You Buy It" segment. Susan Hiland does the 9pm and 5pm news as well. Tess Kopperman is a decent looking reporter on the channel. Terra Hall. Monica Evans, Gia Vang, Linda Wagner, Meryl Lin McKean, Kathy Quinn and Heidi Schmidt are the other reporter women on the channel. Looks like the channel got rid of the Problem Solvers woman.

Then WDAF has Karli Ritter doing weather along side three men. But, alas one of them committed Suicide. So Karli Ritter got moved from noon news to mornings. She came to KC from somewhere in Florida to replace Casey Curry.

KCTV 5 the CBS has Amy Anderson doing weekends and reporting. For a while she had co-anchors, but for about two years she has been solo weekend evenings. The channel just let go of weather woman Katie Horner after 17 years for Chris Suchan, a man, from Tampa Bay. They lost two reporter/anchors I followed in recent years. Rhiannon Ally who left to New York and now is with WCBS and Amber Jenne who is in Hollywood trying to get a job. They have a Black woman doing morning and noon news, Kelly Jones. Carolyn Long does the new 4pm newscast. Dana Wright who used to anchor does reports now. Jeanene Kiesling, Betsy Webster, Sandra Olivas and Bonyen Lee are the women reporters.
Karen Fuller, who is hardly ever in a dress or skirt, anchors weeknights. Iris Hermosa is a fat weather woman.

KSHB the NBC has Amy Hawley doing weekends and weekday reports. Michele Rooney who was on three channels in KC looks to have left. Like Kristia Klaus, she might be in town doing another job. Krista was at two stations in KC but both her and Liza Samora write for newspapers. Liza is with the examiner.com and Krista is with the KC Business Journal. Christa Dubill and Elisabeth Alex do evening newscasts separately. Cynthia Newsome is on medical leave. JiaoJiao Shen does the morning and 11am newscast before Days Of Our Lives. Najahe Sherman does weekend mornings. Sloane Heller, Lindsay Shively and Beth Vaughan are the best looking reporters. Christina Medina, Marissa Cleaver, and Lisa Benson are the other women reporters. Looks like the channel got rid of call For Action segments. They used two guys over the years along with a woman. They took over the sgement after another chnnel fired the guy doing the call For Action spots.

KMBC 9 the ABC station has a variety of women. Maria Antonia does weekend anchoring. Lara Moritz and Kelly Eckerman do evening newscasts separately. Donna Pitman does mornings with a guy, Kris Ketz, and on KCWE with Diane Cho. Jana Corrie reports, fills-in and does weekend mornings. Kerri Stowell does traffic and does reporting and fill-in anchoring. Erin Little is a heavy set meteorologist. Lisa Teachman does weather weekends and weekday mornings with Joel Nichols. Not many good looking reporters. Brenda Washington, Peggy Breit, and Bev Chapman are not the best looking.

Well that is a rundown of the channels and the women.
