A couple of years ago the view was better on the other side of the podium with Dana Perino as the WH Press Secretary! Now it's switched with the front row of WH Press Corps being the spectacular eyecandy!

As far as the front row goes, on this day Norah had it exclusively to herself, no "competition" at all,
-- unless you count the microphone girl. (AP guy is also back on the scene)
One thing she does often here is play with her hair... not sure what was behind that, but remember it...we revisit this topic later.

June 27, 2012 ---

Norah shares the front row with longtime ABC White House vet Ann Compton, who normally sits several rows back as their
radio correspondent, but must be doing double TV & radio duty here, and over to the left it's the still-unnamed
young Reuters woman (who I'm more convinced now is expecting) showing much more leg than usual. Assuming she's Reuters' replacement for Caren,
no way to know who takes over if she goes on maternity leave in a while.
And the AP guy is back.... which leads me back to Norah & her hair ( see above -June 21) She's back to playing with it throughout the briefing, possibly more than last time.
One nice thing though... you might enjoy the way her dress seems to gradually evolve into an off-one-shoulder piece, mainly toward the end. And then Norah goes full-tilt playful,
and gets that "look in her eyes" we've seen before.
(We're not the only ones who appear to notice -- AP guy does of course, and check out Ed Henry's goofy face at the end )

Man, that AP guy is one lucky S.O.B. to have Norah blatantly flirting with him like that!

I also think that her outfit and sexy come ons is a little strategy of hers to get called on more by that nerdy Press Secretary! Clever minx!

a nice leg bounce near the end.
For some reason, a wooden crate sits out in front of everyone the entire time.

Perhaps someone was trying to get Norah to put her legs up so she can relax a bit more. They think of everything there! :jetserl

In case you haven't heard this news already, CBS has decided to give Norah a co-hosting spot on
CBS This Morning beginning this fall, taking over for Erica Hill :

So far, the word is that Norah starts at "This Morning" in New York sometime in September, and will continue at the
White House at least through August. (subject to change)

This thread turned a year old last week, and for now, it goes on --and it may even after Norah vacates the White House... stay tuned

Norah gets a congratulations on her new upcoming job from Jay Carney.
She says she'll miss everybody there.... Jay responds: "Liar"
( I'm guessing there's someone she might miss a bit more than anyone else, though )

The rotation in the Reuters seat continues since Caren Bohan's departure... this time, we have
another new face -- Margaret Chadbourn.

Margaret's seen here with Reese Witherspoon during the White House Correspondents Dinner in April.

July 30 & 31, 2012

Norah is away for both days, and getting the call-up from the bullpen is CBS' Capitol Hill correspondent Nancy Cordes,
making what may be her first White House appearance.
Interesting thing here is that Nancy's sitting in two days in a row -- not typical for most of the fill-ins.
Could she be getting a trial run at the seat to take over for Norah? Not sure, we'll have to wait
and see.... But one thing's for sure: Nancy shows she'd be a pretty worthy successor.

Also for both days, Brianna Keilar is in for CNN -- we see a bit more of her on Day 2 than on Day 1.
