Norah gets a congratulations on her new upcoming job from Jay Carney.
She says she'll miss everybody there.... Jay responds: "Liar"
( I'm guessing there's someone she might miss a bit more than anyone else, though )

The rotation in the Reuters seat continues since Caren Bohan's departure... this time, we have
another new face -- Margaret Chadbourn.

Margaret's seen here with Reese Witherspoon during the White House Correspondents Dinner in April.

(pregnant) young Reuters woman --(STILL no ID on her) , and taking the AP seat this time:

Appears to be some vacation time for Norah, as she continues to be away from White House duty,
and also not on any other CBS News programming this week. Maybe taking a respite before she transitions to This Morning.
Meantime, Nancy Cordes still fills in at the briefings, making four times in a row thus far.
Nancy is still not being called a "White House Correspondent", but this may be a telling sign...

Nancy's back, but the highlight here is CNN's Brianna Keilar, who spends a few moments
at the start settling into her place, and then the remainder of the briefing mostly staring at her laptop
and texting....but she still gets in a question.

From what it sounds like, it's all but official now --
CBS seems to be going with Nancy Cordes as Norah's replacement for the White House position.

In the first clip here, from 8/10, the briefing starts off with Jay Carney singling out Nancy not only for
her birthday, but calls her "our new White House correspondent for CBS".
Nancy's joined in the front row by AP's Julie Pace, Reuters' Margaret Chadbourn, and Brianna Keilar for CNN...

Norah shares the front row with longtime ABC White House vet Ann Compton, who normally sits several rows back as their
radio correspondent, but must be doing double TV & radio duty here, and over to the left it's the still-unnamed
young Reuters woman (who I'm more convinced now is expecting) showing much more leg than usual. Assuming she's Reuters' replacement for Caren,
no way to know who takes over if she goes on maternity leave in a while.
And the AP guy is back.... which leads me back to Norah & her hair ( see above -June 21) She's back to playing with it throughout the briefing, possibly more than last time.
One nice thing though... you might enjoy the way her dress seems to gradually evolve into an off-one-shoulder piece, mainly toward the end. And then Norah goes full-tilt playful,
and gets that "look in her eyes" we've seen before.
(We're not the only ones who appear to notice -- AP guy does of course, and check out Ed Henry's goofy face at the end )

Ooo, excellent. Nancy is certainly making herself memorable. Julia and the Reuters lady are quite fine as well. Nice views of BK. "Microphone lady" has some nice legs too. Thanks!

Oh yes---
even though she's just started, Nancy looks as if she has already perfected the all-important "front row techniques".

I'm almost picturing some kind of pamphlet Norah could have given her. :mrgreen:

So I've decided there's no reason the thread shouldn't continue - but soon I'll just
give it a bit of a re-boot to reflect the changes. Not going to name it after anyone else by name, though.
Norah was its founding star and there's no one who can truly "replace" her.
