I guess the lesson if you're Ainsley, Anna or Aly, and you do everything your bosses ask of you and then some, is you're supposed to just smile gracefully and accept Fox is bringing in the lady from ABC to do the job you have earned and deserve.
I know that's not fair to Elisabeth, but Fox isn't being fair to the women they have groomed for that job
Of course life isn't fair, especially in the TV news business
I found out about this when Ainsley posted a link to the story on her Facebook page and welcomed Elisabeth to the Fox family

I just don't know what to think. As you might have guessed, Gretchen was my all time favorite. There is no one who has given us as many upskirts and leg shows. I have close to 50 of her upskirts in my collection.

But for some time now she has not been keeping up. Not as many upskirts coupled with longer dresses. I'm not as disappointed to see her go as I thought I would.

Elisabeth is another of my favorites and has great potential. She wears some leggy outfits and now for 3 hours a day front and center on the curvy couch is going to be good. I hope she likes wearing white panties.

I sure will miss those meaty thighs.

They couldn't turn down Elisabeth, who was f'd over by ABC more than Ainsley, Anna, or Aly (they did the same thing to Star Jones back in the day and forced her out too). Liz was on national television for the past 12 years and has name recognition. Ainsley, Anna, and Aly (in addition to the Heathers and PAB) have also worked hard and deserve the spot but for some reason they could only hire 1 girl and 2 guys. I don't see why they can't have 2 girls on the show.
Anyway, there's still at least 1 hour to fill if Gretchen's show will really be 1 hour long. Maybe Alisyn will get it and they'll move Ainsley or Anna to the weekend show.

I am disappointed in the new picks, but we don't know how the women felt about it either. Maybe no one wanted to commit their family time to a two hour show 5 days a week.

I'm with you Sparty. Ainsley has awesome legs, but I think is too smart. Elisabeth is a better fit with the two doofuses.

Fox certainly has the program for success, and it's not complicated. It's too bad that the rest of the networks can't figure it out. Even Bloomberg has that cute Sara Eisen.

Who's gonna replace Elisabeth on the view? And will Jenny MCarthy replace Joy?

Probably Rachel Campos Duffy. She's a Republican like Hasselbeck. And has guest co-hosted many times.

ugh this is BS anna should have gotten the gig! she was in my opinion the only suitable one for the job in terms of legs. i have a feeling that elizabeth will take this as a serious new program and be more conservative with her outfits. we will see i guess

There are rumors that Jenny McCarthy is replacing Joy and Brooke Shields is replacing Elisabeth. The rumors have been correct so far so I'm guessing that those are the two replacements.

F&F is actually three hours. Which you're right is the only reason I can see Gretchen wanting to give it up. Cause there is no other way to look at this as but a demotion for her.

3 hours of peak morning time where most Fox viewers will probably see some of the show at some point before they leave for work to go to a mid afternoon spot that most people won't see cause they are at work.

Sure it's her "own" show but it's less of a profile and she'll have less viability.


But Fox wanting Elizabeth and Elizabeth wanting Fox makes perfect sense from a business and ratings standpoint. Ya'll might be disappointed and upset your favorite lady didn't get the gig but it's hard to argue with this move from the business end.

From what I understand, Gretchen has wanted her own show for a long time
That's why she hadn't renewed her contract even though it was up in 2011
Whether it works out better for her than it did for E.D. Hill is another story

I can understand that. Waking up as early everyday as Gretchen has been doing must wear on you, it's not a job I would want.

My vote for the second hour is to give it to Jamie Colby but they'll probably keep her stuck behind the weekend desks.

I also would've been in favor of Anna getting it if someone from the cast members who are already there were actually up for it and I guess we'll never know on that point.

I like Elizabeth though but it does make me wonder if the ladies already at the network will greet her with open arms or a knife to the back because of being upset she got a job maybe they wanted.

I think that could be really interesting. We'll probably never know that either though.

She should know coming in that there are a lot of women at FNC that could steal her spot and should keep us all interested as Gretchen does if you know what I mean.

Now I know Gretch has a lot of fans but I never liked her & nice to see her getting E.Ded with the "Moving to a 1 hour show till we fire her" Move.

But NO WAY for Hassel. I know it seems like morning shows have no journalistic requirement but she was a survivor player who ended up filling the bimb chair on the view & b/c she is a repub she qualifies????

If I was Camy, PAB, & lets not forget JAMIE time to call your agents & MOVE ON!!!!

If CBS or CNN were smart grab those 3 & maybe get viewers in the mornings (Sorry who cares about oprahs gasbag I get jobs b/c of my gf or Charlie Snore or CNN Constantly New Nimwits)

I know you may not all agree but its my 2 cents.

PAB has been nothing more than fill-in for quite awhile. If she were ever going to get a big gig, probably would have happened by now. Same true for Jamie. Camerota was passed over for a simple reason that has already been said, they had a big name out there and they got her. Camerota knows how the TV business works

People should be watching F&F very carefully once Elisabeth starts, as this article seems to be peeling back the onion layers:

Technically, Fox News categorizes "Fox & friends" as "entertainment" not as a news show. It is in the same category as "Red Eye", so it does not need a journalist.
