Ever since Fox & Friends First debuted on March 5, 2012, Fox has tinkered with the format
The latest changes are definitely NOT for the better
The most obvious one is Lauren Simonetti does a stand-up now instead of sitting on the set with one of the anchors
But she isn't the only one
Sit down interviews have disappeared from F&FF
No Cheryl Casone
No Vera Gibbons
No Dr. Siegel, Samadi or Ablow
No Arthur Aidala
No dorky movie guy
No Courtney Scott
No Andrea Woroch
No Nikki Fitness
Anna Kooiman's Fox Health Fix has vanished, too
They all still appear on F&F
Maybe they objected to getting up so early to head down to the FNC studio
This leads to another problem
Increasingly, the only full shot of the anchors sitting down is when they turn to Maria Molina for the weather
While the shot is very nice, you can;t see their faces since they're looking at Maria
Unlike some, I like the full body shots
Now, instead of just one at 5:30 a.m., they're opening the show with one
Each anchor is getting her own full stand-up, too
Fox likes to tweak this show constantly, so I'm sure it will change -- again
But I do miss the shots from the set

Lauren Simonetti's sit down segments were a huge part of why I watched F&FF. Now I don't even record it anymore. They've really ruined the show.

Is Zoraida Sambolin back on Early Start? Maybe I'll start recording that at 5.

There not being any dudes in the leg chairs is a good thing if you ask me.



Wait, you mean there are actually people here who don't like the full body shots? Why?

But yeah I hate it when Fox tinkers with the format like that. They did it to Martha's show a few years back. One the segments where they would show the full body shots they started only shooting it from the knee up. That went on for I think about a year before they finally changed it back.

Not in favor of the dudes, but if they are doing a sit down interview, I can focus on Ainsley, PAB or the Heathers

There's been another change, since at least May. Heather Nauert and Heather Childers haven't hosted the show together. The only time both Heathers have been on set is like when Heather Nauert introduced her ER segment on Tuesday. And for most of the weeks since then the pairings were as such (unless one was on vacation):

Monday-Tuesday: Ainsley and Heather Childers
Wednesday: Any combination of Ainsley and Heather C, Ainsley and Heather N, Ainsley and PAB, PAB and Heather C, and PAB and Heather N.
Thursday-Friday: PAB and Heather Nauert

The last time Casone was on with the jobs report was when she and Heather C did the segment on the regular Fox & Friends set.

You're right, and the weird thing about that is until May, Ainsley and Heather C never worked together and PAB and Heather N never worked together
PAB and Heather N traded the M-F weeks and Ainsley and Heather C traded the Thu-Wed weeks
Personally, I like the Ainsley-Heather C combination

The Heathers are hosting today and competing with each other to see which one is hotter

This. Seeing the 4 hosts was something I started taking for granted but seeing Lauren on with a low-cut dress had become the highlight of the show. I'm all for keeping the show fresh with changes and I like the new way they show Maria doing the weather but the Lauren stand-up is such a waste, as is every other sit-down interview that Sparty listed that they've done away with.....now the show is about the headlines and b-roll of said headlines.

Having Lauren stand is why I stopped watching it. Having her sitting with one of the two was one of the show's major selling points IMO....

Im not liking the recent changes. Especially when Lauren isn't sitting, but now she isn'ton half the time. Also I don't know why the Heathers aren't on together too. Love the heat they bring.

They definitely and I mean DEFINITELY need to bring back the sitting segments for Lauren. Dare I say FNC is slipping. Why have access to all these fine dyme pieces and not properly use them? I see yet another change on the horizon. Peace...

Lauren the last two weeks was filling in for Nicole Petallides at the NYSE so Jo Ling Kent filled in for her on F&FF.

FBN needs to find a way to give Lauren and/or Nicole their own show or at the very least more face/leg time.

Of course, the biggest change yet for F&FF
Ainsley and Heather C now are the permanent hosts
Heather N now is the newsreader on F&F
PAB goes back to her super utility role, but hopefully we still will see a lot of her
Since Ainsley now has a regular Monday through Friday shift, there is no need for me to post Awesome Ainsley alerts except if she hosts F&F

Anna will probably the main fill in for Elisabeth now that she has the weekend job (at least temporarily) and one of the F&FF hosts will probably be the main fill-in for Heather N.
Additionally, PAB is a Red Eye fan favorite so she will probably be on there at least every other week. Hemmer is a good host but PAB should have gotten that job opposite Alisyn, and I'm not just saying that cuz she's a girl but because she's been with Fox for so long.

I think Hemmer's in there for ratings because he's a big name

Maria is no longer in the studio with Ainsley and Heather
She now appears on a split screen when she does her weather reports
I'm guessing she's working from the F&F studio or her desk

Maria being in the studio with Ainsley and Heather was the last reason to record and cap that show in my opinion. The full body shots of them turning towards her,and the full length shots of Maria were super hot! What a loss.

When Maria did the weather reports in the studio she was also standing on a stool. That was the funny thing since Maria and Lauren are the same height and Lauren doesn't stand on a stool when she does her biz reports.
